Waiting for Promise
My friend burst out in hurricane tears when the guy with the mic randomly started talking about visiting a country she had longed to live in for many many years, a people she had desired to serve.
“Why does God keep shoving it in my face? He knows I desire it so why does he have to remind me that he is giving it to everyone else?”
When people receive what we so deeply desire, we often view it as a disappointment. Our longings sit so close to the surface and any little thing can agitate our spirit. Especially when it seems everyone is enjoying our miracle.
I believe the enemy tried to steal the gift God was giving my friend in that moment, through the guy with the mic.
God was giving her a bread crumb of Promise, leading her one step closer to her desired destination.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She ended up moving to that country. God fulfilled his promise. (He does that.)
Has God given you similar crumbs that your enemy has declared are just another disappointment or slap in the face? Take them back.
Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
