A Plan Exists

Perhaps you have heard this before?

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

I think I always skipped a simple truth that isn’t spelled out in these words. I couldn’t comprehend the good plans that are spoken of because I wasn’t sure if there were any plans at all.

Before I could grasp the fact that God had plans to prosper me, I had to believe He actually had a plan for me in the first place.

In waiting it may seem like God has forgotten about you. You wander around, wondering if He sees or cares. It may seem like everyone else’s plans are unfolding before your eyes. It’s not fun. It hurts. It is easy to question God. And, that’s okay.

But, be reminded today and fortified in this truth: God actually, literally, truthfully has a plan for you.

Before you believe that the plan is a good one, believe that it exists at all.

God knew you before the foundations of the world. He created you, with you in mind. All of the days of your life were ordained for you before you inhaled your first suck of oxygen on this planet.

His plan for you is unlike any other plan He’s ever created. His plan for you is unique.

And His plan for you — it exists.

It exists for your good. And it exists to bring glory to His name.
